What are the full details of the High Ropes Add on Waiver that we need to sign?

By buying a Ticket you agree to be bound by these Ticket Purchase Terms and Conditions (and the bespoke terms associated with products like Annual Pass & parties) along with our Terms and Conditions of Entry and Rules of Play.

Tickets are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, void if altered and save, as expressly set out in the Terms non-refundable.

All persons entering Gripped must pay for admission and/or hold a valid Ticket or Annual Pass which has been obtained from Gripped or an authorised third party. A Ticket must be used by the same person during it’s period of validity. Selected special events may require an additional ticket purchase.

Gripped reserves the right to deny admission, or to require a person already admitted to leave Gripped without refund or compensation, for failure to comply with any of the Gripped rules, for unsafe, illegal or offensive behaviour, to ensure safety, security or order, or if we consider that the circumstances so require.

If Tickets are bought on behalf of other visitors (for example, Parties, Schools or Group bookings), the buyer accepts these Terms on behalf of every visitor and shall ensure that these Terms are notified to and followed by each person in the group.

For the purpose of entry to Gripped the following definitions apply and proof of age may be required:

- At Gripped, a Child is under 15 years

There is no child-only entry to Gripped.

Active Supervision and Definition of a ‘Responsible Person’

At The Escapade Group, we want all our guests to have a safe and enjoyable experience with us. To ensure everyone is clear on their responsibilities, we kindly ask that you familiarise yourself with the below. By entering our venues, you agree to follow the guidelines in place to maintain a welcoming and secure environment for everyone. These terms outline your responsibilities as a guest, including safety measures, respectful conduct, and compliance with venue policies.

Active Supervision

Active supervision is the continuous and attentive monitoring of children by a Responsible Person to ensure their safety and well-being. This involves being physically present, actively engaged, and ready to intervene when necessary. Simply being in the same area is not enough—Responsible Persons must observe, anticipate risks, and guide children’s behaviour to prevent accidents or harm.

Who is a defined as a Responsible Person

A Responsible Person is someone who is legally and practically capable of supervising a child and acting on their behalf to safeguard their welfare. This includes:

Parents and legal guardians – Individuals with direct responsibility for the child’s care and well-being.

Designated caregivers – Adults specifically assigned to supervise, such as teachers, group leaders, or childminders.

Responsible family members – Older siblings or relatives who have been entrusted with supervision and can act in the child's best interest.

A Responsible Person must be capable of enforcing safety rules, recognising risks, and taking appropriate action in an emergency. In all environments, especially those with play equipment, water features, or other potential hazards, active supervision is essential to safeguarding children’s welfare and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.

Children at Play

The Responsible Person must supervise and observe the children in their care to ensure they can use the equipment safely, as we are not aware of their individual needs and abilities. Please explain the rules of play to the children and actively monitor their behaviour throughout their time at the venue.

Visitors under 15 years of age to must be accompanied, at all times, by a Responsible Person at Gripped. The minimum height restriction for most Gripped activities is 1.4m, with the exclusion of the Speed Slides and Power Fan which are 1.3m, and Net Park which has no minimum height. The Net Park has a minimum age of 4, but children between the ages of 4 and 6 must be accompanied by a Responsible Person on the Net Park at all times. Accompanying Responsible Person: Under 15s will need a ticket-holding Responsible Person to participate with them on the Zip Trek and High Ropes, and a supervising Responsible Person present (no ticket needed) for the Speed Slides, Bag Jump and Power Fan. 1 Responsible Person can accompany up to 4 under 15s.

Children must be directly and actively supervised by a Responsible Person at all times whilst at Gripped, and it is the responsibility of the supervising Adult to ensure that their children are always following the Rules of Play.

The maximum ratio of Responsible Person to children is 1 to 4.

Tickets purchased online may not be used in conjunction with any other special offer or promotion.

Following the purchase of an online ticket no refunds can be given, and you cannot cancel your tickets or resell them.

Any discounts or offers online are available for limited quantities and periods only and shall not be available on bookings made in person on the day of visit.

Entry to the Attraction is only permissible when the ticket is printed out or the Booking Reference Number is given.

All persons covered by the online ticket must enter the Attraction at the same time.

Tickets purchased online are only valid for the date for which they were purchased.

Should they be used on dates other than that for which they were purchased, Gripped reserves the right to refuse entry or charge our current rebooking fee.

A booking fee will be added to your transaction.

Disabled visitors are required to pay the full general admission rate. They can bring a free Responsible Person as a carer. Evidence of DLA/PIP payments, an Access Card, a National Disability Card or Carers Card, or a valid Blue Badge dated within the last 12 months must be provided at the entrance to our team to qualify for the free carer. You will be provided with the free carer ticket on arrival subject to your eligibility being confirmed.

In extenuating circumstances tickets can be postponed, subject up to a maximum of 6 months from the original date; subject to the reschedule fee being paid.

I, the identified signer of this waiver am either the participant (aged 18 years or over) or the parent/legal guardian of the identified individual named above who is under 18 years of age. If I am not the parent or legal guardian of the child, I am consequently permitted by their parent/guardian to act on their behalf, including the signing of this waiver.

Is the person taking part over 1.4m tall?

I permit that the identified individual can participate in the Zip Trek course organised by Gripped London Limited on the date and time booked.

I acknowledge that if the participant is under the age of 15 years old, they must be accompanied on the activity at all times by a participating adult over the age of 18, who will also need a ticket for the activity. One adult can accompany up to 4 children.

I understand that Gripped London may need to close the Zip Trek due to adverse weather such as heavy rain and/or thunder and lightening. If this is the case, the ticket is non-refundable and a voucher can be claimed instead.

4) Participant skill and ability will be assessed and monitored by Team Members. If you are unable to complete the practice course or take too long to complete a jump then for your safety and the enjoyment of other guests, the Instructor will end the session.

5) Gripped London provides all participants with the required essential safety equipment that must always worn when participating, including a harness and helmet. Guests must also comply with the mandatory clothing and footwear requirements.

6)Gloves are highly advisable to wear by all participants, however Gripped London does not provide these. Guests using the attraction without gloves do so at their own risk.

7) I understand that Gripped contains extremely high-risk activities and carries a high risk of injury. Following instructions and practicing the correct form and technique will minimise injury potential but not completely eradicate the risk of injuring myself. By partaking in this activity, I understand that I may get injured, even if I use the attraction correctly.

8) I agree that Gripped London Limited will not be liable for any personal belongings whilst I complete the activity.

9) I agree that I/the participant will adhere to all safety rules dictated by the team on the day of the activity.

10) Any participants deliberately breaching the attractions rules and regulations, putting themselves or others in harm’s way or inability to conduct themselves in a safe manner will result in immediate expulsion from the park without a refund.

11) I understand that bookings are non-refundable or transferable.

2) By execution of this agreement, I acknowledge my understanding of the risks of the activity and its context of a physically trialling experience. I knowingly agree to accept and assume all risks and liabilities associated with the activity both known and unknown.

3) I agree that as a participating supervising adult, I will allow the child to participate only to the extent of their skill level.

4) Participant skill and ability will be assessed and monitored by Team Members prior to using the attraction. If your skills/abilities are not suitable for you to use the attraction safely, then you will be refused access to the attraction for your safety and the safety of others.

5) I understand that this is a high-risk activity and carries a risk of injury. The correct jump form and technique will minimise injury potential but not completely eradicate the risk of injuring myself. By partaking in this activity, I understand that I may get injured, even if I slide correctly

6) Guests must also comply with the mandatory clothing and footwear requirements.

7) I agree that Gripped London Limited will not be liable for any personal belongings at any point in the course.

8) I agree that the participant will adhere to all safety rules dictated by the team on the day of the activity.

9) Any participants deliberately breaching the attractions rules and regulations, putting themselves or others in harm’s way or inability to conduct themselves in a safe manner will result in immediate expulsion from the park without a refund.

10) I understand that bookings are non-refundable or transferable with the exception of an activity closure, in this instance a refund will be issued for the specific activity booking only.

Single activity passes
These include your booked activity only.

A Reminder: for your safety, there are age, weight and height restrictions on all Gripped activities.

If participating in the Zip Trek and High Ropes, under 15s will need a ticket-holding adult to participate with them.

If participating in the Speed Slides and Bag Jumps, under 15s will need a supervising adult present. This adult must hold either their own Gripped ticket, or a Spectator Pass.

If you are over 15 but under 18, you will need to have an adult over 18 present onsite.

This adult must hold either their own Gripped ticket, or a Spectator Pass.

The minimum weight for Gripped is 20kg, and the maximum weight is 120kg

Each activity has a briefing session beforehand. You must be present for this. In addition, it's highly recommended to watch our safety briefing video prior to your visit.

This video will give you an overview of what to expect during these particular activities, helping you prepare and understand the experience better.

Parking is available on site, charged at £1 per hour, unless dropping off / picking up.

You can pay when leaving at one of the machines located in the car park.

Tickets are non-refundable. You can change the date of your visit up to 1 day before the due date. There is an administration charge for this. You can do this by viewing your tickets via your online guest account.
