HOW TO PLAN YOUR PERFECT HEN DO
Planning a hen do can be heaps of fun, and with a little bit of effort, you can make sure your hen has an unforgettable experience!
Start the planning by brainstorming hen do activity ideas with the other bridesmaids and the bride herself, consider her interests and what she might enjoy doing with her closest friends and family. If she’s an outdoorsy, thrill-seeking type of bride, then consider outdoor hen party ideas like an outdoor activity centre.
Once you’ve pulled together some ideas, create a rough itinerary that includes activities, meals, accommodation and transport and factor in some downtime for relaxation or spontaneous adventures.
A BRIEF HISTORY OF HEN DOS
Hen dos date back to ancient Greek and roman cultures where they celebrated the bride-to-be with feasts, games and music. In the 1960’s and 1970’s, hen dos began to take shape as women embraced their freedom and independence. Today, hen dos continue to be an essential part of wedding tradition and gives the hen and her friends a chance to let loose before the big day.
Whether it’s a night on the town, a weekend getaway or an outdoor activity, hen do activities continue to evolve and offer endless opportunities for fun and bonding with the bride tribe!
